  • Cutaway Eaton Transmission Trainer

    The EC-1108 cutaway Eaton transmission has been designed for teaching Eaton heavy-duty transmission theory and operation. This model provides several forward speeds and reverses, consisting of a front section and an auxiliary section.

    The auxiliary section contains LO and HI range ratios, and the L and H splitter gear ratios. When in HI range, the gear ratios can be split by using the splitter control button. This model is driven by hand crank.

  • Cutaway Allison Transmission – 3000 SERIES

    The ConsuLab EC-1106-03 cutaway Allison transmission has been specifically designed for teaching heavy duty automatic transmission theory and operation. It has been strategically sectioned and cutaway to allow students to visualize the internal transmission functions.

    The Allison 3000 series is a fully automatic torque converter driven, electronically controlled 6-speed automatic transmission that is commonly used in coaches and heavy vehicles.

    The diesel engine trainer is a fully operational engine mounted on a mobile stand. Trainer is based on 2016-2011 GM Trucks (Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra) w/Duramax 6.6L global engine platform. The trainer is easy to work on and all major components, wiring and connectors match OEM configuration. Trainer is mounted on a mobile stand constructed of 2” (5 cm) tubular steel equipped with four 5” (12.5 cm) phenol casters (2-fixed and 2-swivel w/locks). Students can perform many NATEF related Engine Performance and Electrical/Electronic tasks using this trainer. Trainer is equipped with safety guards covering all rotating components.

  • Hydrostatic Transmission – Implement and Steering

    The FP-MF500-IS-TSE Hydrostatic Transmission Trainer features the exact transmission found in the vast majority of skid-steer loaders, mini-backhoes, and numerous other mobile and industrial machines. This trainer is provided with hydraulic steering and implement, and is available as a diesel engine-driven simulator or an electric motor-driven simulator. The trainer is equipped with a state-of-the-art, dual-drive, hydrostatic transmission system. The dual-pumps are electronically controlled with independent joysticks – just like the actual vehicle. The state-of the-art, electronically-controlled, wheel load system is designed to simulate any driving conditions, regardless of severity, that a typical hydrostatic drive might experience.

     

     

  • Cutaway Diesel Exhaust After-Treatment System

    The ConsuLab EC-490 Cutaway Diesel Exhaust System Trainer allows students to view the components of a diesel exhaust aftertreatment system using LED’s and electronic controls to help learners understand the function, and effect on, diesel engine exhaust gases following the combustion cycle.

    The trainer uses multiple colored LED’s to represent the gases that flow in the exhaust system and, demonstrates the chemical reactions within each of the aftertreatment processes.

    The EC-127 Cutaway 30/30 Air Brake Chamber is partly cut away so that a trainee can observe the internal elements housed within the chamber.

  • Driveshaft Angle Trainer

    The ConsuLab Driveshaft Working Angle Trainer EM-200-28 is designed to help demonstrate and simplify the complex acceleration and deceleration phenomenon that occurs in revolving universal joints and drive shafts operating at various angles.

    Even when the input driveshaft rotates at constant speed, the output driveshaft maintains a variable speed depending on the angle between them, which causes vibrations and wear over time. The higher the angle between the shafts, the more amplified the effect is.
