ConsuLab has created an intuitive student-led learning system for Automotive Technology students to practice proper non-destructive back-probing of connectors and components while measuring voltages, resistances, and waveform signals using both oscilloscopes and digital multimeters. Developed for Toyota, this is an incredible – industry-demanded – training system for future automotive technicians.
The tabletop format makes it easy to use and accessible for students to learn in an intuitive way, but store and transport easily when not in use.
The CL-1930 Connector and Harness trainer includes a simulated ECU, multiple sensors and connectors, and a power supply. Student competency can be measured through instructor-controlled fault scenarios that students then diagnose.
This interactive product provides an exciting learning experience for students to practice and perfect their skills. All connectors, terminals and components are field serviceable.

Automotive Lighting System Trainer
The ConsuLab Automotive Lighting System Trainer CL-1918 is used for teaching Ohm’s Law, basic circuits, advanced circuits, relay controlled, power side and ground side-controlled circuits, and there is an included fault box on each side with 12 real world faults that include open circuits, short circuits, high resistance circuits that will require voltage drop testing to verify, ground faulted circuits and more.
The ConsuLab CL-1918 Automotive Lighting System Trainer has been developed to teach modern automotive lighting systems through student led learning exercises where students develop their understanding of the system through the physical wiring all circuits.
The learning exercises are developed at two levels to allow both entry level and advanced level students to expand their skills.

Analog signals can be displayed using the J-1939 display. The trainer utilizes the “Moduponent®” design feature which allows unlimited expansion capabilities. This unit is equipped with an integrated electronic fault box containing 12 faults.
The training aid includes a complete curriculum to make teaching CAN Bus as easy as possible.
The CAN Bus training system can be single-sided (-1S), double-sided (-1D), or used in combination with the ConsuLab Automotive Lighting System trainer.
